I was on a group ride today with the theme of bringing your oldest bike. Mine was a 1937 Raleigh Sports Tourist:
That was the oldest one, but there was good representation from the 1940s and 1950s: a couple of Humbers, a Rudge, a MacLeans, and a '40s Schwinn Paramount (and that was the one bike that had a mechanical issue!). Group shot:
Must have been about 500 lbs of steel made up from 7 bikes.
