Super clean 1984 Trek 520

Found this little lady today! Very clean for a 84 touring bike and all original, even has the trek tires still on it. The frame is in super nice shape with very few scratches. I paid a little more than I usually would for a flipper but for the price these things go for I couldn't pass it up, especially with the fenders! Too bad its way to small for me (48 cm) and too big for my girlfriend. Yep too big, she's 5'-0" So whats the deal with the rear freewheel? I have heard that they usually need replacing. Sorry for the bad pics, I will post more tomorrow.
