I recently picked up a 1988 Stumpjumper (discussed in
this thread) that has a 6 speed Uniglide hub. If I'm reading my Sheldon correctly, I should be able to transplant a Hyperglide body onto the hub. I'd like to run a 7 speed cassette. Am I likely to be able to do that with the existing Deore derailleur and index shifters, or will I need to either change derailleurs or run friction?
