I doubt cyclocross ever gets huge in the hipster/trendy scene. The truth is that most hipsters will probably stop caring about bicycles after they sell their NJS frames and go back to accessorizing via clothes, shoes, sunglasses, etc. Track bikes are ideal trendster machines for several reasons, none of which are applicable to cyclocross bikes. The hipsters that do get into cyclocross (probably not many) are those that have actually fallen in love w. cycling through their exposure to track bikes and fixies. I hope that a lot of hipsters stay interested in cycling, but I bet that a lot of them do not.
