An incoming taxi driver slammed brake and saved that day. The fool went off as if nothing happened. +1000 for the taxi driver. I mean not even a honk.
And it likely would have ended quite differently if the taxi had ineffective brakes as well. Should motor vehicles be the only road users required to have effective brakes?
