If you want 'clean lines' scrape your pennies together and buy a purpose build track frame. You'll thank yourself later when you get over **** and decide road bikes are cool too. That being said, all of this talk is really in regard to frames of quality, not your 'first bike' schwinn suburban. Everyone needs to learn on something but most informed people would agree it probably doesn't need to be a colnago.
