I have essentially the same lock; mine is a
Magnum 3000 but the parent company,
Magnum Industries, makes locks for Magnum, OnGuard, Lox, Metalok, and also Torch brand bike lights. It's a great lock - heavy, yes, but solid. I carry it on my rack and therefore the weight is a non-issue. I prefer the long shackle to reach around the wheel, frame, and post that I'm locking it to. No disrespect to Sheldon - I just feel more secure that way.
