I need a destination while riding, and I typically like to ride alone. On weekends, I'll bike if I have somewhere to go. Sometimes I plan long trips out to various destinations 25 or 30 miles away just to have somewhere to go (apple picking, a scenic trip to the farm stand or to visit a friend)... but most weekends I don't ride recreationally. My 28 mile round trip 4 days a week makes me appreciate the away time.
