The problem is that your body acclimates to your area. When I lived in Chicago I was in a tee shirt when it hit 50 now I need a sweater at 70. But then I can ride at 95 and 80% humidity. The bottom line for me is a prefer warmer climate to colder and this is no fun.
No kidding - I'm from VT where you see temps below 0 or single digits for a week or more at a time. I've been skiing in a t-shirt during a "warm spell" in the 30s/40s. I moved to TN to get away from two things, rusty cars and cold weather.
