UV-A and UV-B blocking is a must. Otherwise, down the road you may be picking the cataracts out of your eyes.
I wear the kind that clip on to my glasses and flip up. They look nerdy, but hey, I'm a nerd.
I think that's what your optometrist would tell the patients. Even being in the outdoors requires eye protection.
