Like most low end bikes, the frame is a junker. So you have to decide how much time and money are you willing to put into such a bike? The weight of the bike (heavy) should be an obvious tell.

Around here, you can buy good name brand older mountain bikes cheap, really cheap. So there is no reason to get a junky frame. I bought a nice Gary Fisher frame last week for $10. Kind of typical for an incomplete bike (I have several MTB donor bikes, so needed a good to really good frame with good paint).
