I grew up in Hendersonville and still live only about 15 miles away from there. It is definitely a great place to raise a family, and this is some great riding as well. Good mixture of flat to moderately hilly to really hilly terrain. There is also a great bike shop in Hendersonville called Biker's Choice. I've bought all my bikes from them and the service is great. There is also a local bike club called The FOGBEES that hold rides every weekend on occassionally through the week. I've riden with them several times and they have a wide range of ride speeds and distances. I've included the links to both below.
