Hi

I live part time in Grand Junction and ride a lot there, on the Mesa and in the Monument. Here is a link to the GJT bike route map. http://www.gjcity.org/CityDeptWebPag...ML/bikemap.pdf

I have ridden Horizon and 7th into and out of downtown. Both are pretty busy and I don't like 7th much at all. Parts are bike lane or shoulders with bike signs or separate paths. There are side roads too but complicated to describe what I do when I ride those. Try the bike route map. I'll be there n a couple weeks and can map a good route for you then if you like. Maybe eofelis can help.

Lots of great restaurants downtown.....Rockslide Brewery, Main Street Bagel, Pablo's Pizza and more. Be sure to go into Browns Cyclery downtown too and say hi to Chris Brown. At North and 10th is The Bike Shop and another main Street Bagel near the college. Out on Horizon by your motel.....WW Peppers is a favorite of ours. If you are out in Fruita, the Hot Tomato is our favorite Pizza.

Also, here is a great website for cycling in the area:

Enjoy.

Looking forward to some new passes for me this year on the BTC.
