Your local dealer is mistaken. There were no T-1000 or T-2000 bikes for 2009. He may have bought it from existing old stock in `09, (hence the misconception), but it's an `08.
BikePedia says suggested retail in `08 was only $2419, and now it's technically two years old. Still a good bike though, but maybe you should offer $2000?
