Just a warning...the map on the website is a little misleading. Back in late January my husband and I decided to do the loop ( a little over 10 miles) around the River/canal. The map showed that it was on a dike and the pictures showed a shellrock road. It was for about the first 5 miles or so...after that it went to grass and really hard to ride through. I had a really hard time making it all the way around but we finally reached the final part where it turned into shell rock again. The east part is where the shellrock is and extends almost to the north end. It doesn't start again until you reach the very southern part of the trail that turns north.Just wanted to give you a heads up in case you decide to go.
