I agree with Mr Beanz. After trying out bikes for several weeks, my wife and I picked up some Giants. They money seems to go far, the bike feels lively, and my shop does lifetime tune ups. It was pretty tough to beat.

That being said, Performance seemed like a decent place to get a good price on bikes. I wasn't a fan of how they swapped out SRAM/Shimano parts for in-house brand, Tektro, or FSA, but if you don't mind that--it's not a bad deal. Those Tektro brakes, though, don't stop a guy my size very well.
