Hey, I'm a first-year college student in Portland. For the past year, I've been using public transportation to get around... I'm not much of a biker, and I drove most places in high school. I didn't bring my car to college, though, and my parents recently informed me that I'm not bringing it with me next year either. Thus, I've just bought myself a bike. Anyhow, I'm hoping to start riding more, and I really like the idea of using a bike as transportation... the idea never really occurred to me before.
The main reason I just registered here is that I'm pretty curious to know about the bike I just bought... I'll make a post about it in the 'vintage' section
Also, seeing as it's (I think) pretty old, I imagine I might need maintenance advice occasionally...
