Unless you are putting on tons of miles, you are going through rims very fast.

(1) What tires are you using? At what PSI?
(2) Approximately, what is your weight?
(3) Where are you getting your wheels?
(4) Where are you riding? ... curbs? ... jumps? ... bunny hops?

Unless you are doing something extreme or getting crappy wheels built, 32 hole double-wall rims with some wider tires at a moderate PSI should last for lots of miles, IMO.
