Hello everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself to all of you and say that I've read quite a few posts on this site and have really enjoyed them. I finally decided to sign up and I think I'll enjoy the community here.
I don't yet own my own bike (I've been using my girlfriends) but I hope to own one soon. If any of you have any tips on where to get a nice used, or the type to get, that would be wonderful!
I live in a college town, about 3 miles to downtown, and I want to get into biking more. The downtown is bike-friendly(ish), but there is also a LOT of traffic at certain times, and most drivers don't pay much attention or much care to bikers or pedestrians.
So with that, I'm looking for a bike that is good for commuting, but I'd also like one that I could use for longer distance biking. If possible, I'd like to be able to do trips of 15, 20 miles or more comfortably.
