Well that seems like it would kinda suck.

Do you have checked luggage anyways? If no one else has experience doing that, perhaps you could get there a little early, then walk up to the security checkpoint before checking your luggage in and ask the tsa people standing there. If you can bring it in your carry-on, bring it. If you can't, put it in your checked luggage.

Obviously, it would be better if someone else who's actually done it a couple times responded. :-)
