The main reason for the switch to Alum. is weight. we have vicious hills here and it starts to piss you off the heavier the bike is. Or it's doin it to me. I used to live in a place where it was mainly flat and the kilo was awesome but i'm starting to just want to cut weight down to commuting a bit better.
