Maybe it is but i don't think so. Europe has more options by far when you plan to buy good biking stuff. About geography and meals You have to agree that Southamerica and in particular Peru is great. The beaches (Punta Sal), the mountains (The Cordillera Blanca in Huaraz, the Urubamba valley known as the sacred valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu in Cuzco), its big canyon of Colca (in Arequipa deeper than the one in Colorado-USA), and also you get very low prices in comparisson with Europe.
