Delorme over-estimates climbing. Of course, the 13k of climbing I cited above was determined by Delorme. I used to map out all the rides with Bikely, but it's gotten so slow as to be useless. It would often estimate the climbing at about half of Delorme. It was wrong too, the actual number was somewhere in-between.
Challenging rides can be fun. I actually have the most problems with long stretches of flat road.
