First thoughts....
Bikes Direct said it would only come with a freehub but it also came with a fixed gear. It was installed, the freehub wasnt. I took it about 100' before I turned around and put the freehub on Fixed just felt weird and living on a moderately heavy traffic road, it didnt seem like the right time to try it out. It rides nice, plenty stiff, very responsive. My BD buying experience was good, I'd go back. Might upgrade a few things before I'm done but as a whole, I like the bike
