Over the years we have had little experience with rain riding but pulled down our "Planet Bike' fenders off the self and re-installed them on our C'dale for a rare Rail Trail ride last month in Missouri. They got put to serious use as rain and floods dominated the six day ride. The fenders did keep some of the limestone and misc junk off of the riders, but ultimately as Homebya stated earlier in this thread, "wet is wet" and they did little to prevent us or the bike from being soaked and filthy for most of the trip. Truthfully ...I'm not sure if I would even bother to mount them next time.
On the positive side, the Planet Bike fenders were easy to mount, were plenty adjustable and did stay secure.
