Pcad, it's just you're past 50 now (as am I). I'm tired of beating myself 70 miles to exhaustion, going home and eating 1/2 of what I used to, and waking up 3# heavier the next morning.
I tried during winter doing 2 Slim-Fasts (190cal ea) and a very small meal for 3-4 days in a row and gained weight each time.
I might as well just eat ice cream.
That's not very inspiring, but my metabolism is preposterously slow now. However, the less sugar and carbs I eat, the more I find I can actually lose weight. And it's really hard no matter what I do. Oh well.
100+ miles tomorrow. I'll probably gain 2 lbs.
