I wouldn't say that this Tour was a total failure for LA. Yes, he came in 23rd, when he was expected to place higher. But if you look at the big picture, he still finished ahead of the other apporoximately 150 cyclists in the field. It might not have been the way he wanted to go out, but that's the nature of sports.
