Seriously though, I'll tell you why: I own one. An EL-tubed Gooch with that same paint scheme; mine has a dark black base as opposed to the purple. About two years ago, a 72-year old Mario Andretti-wannabe did it in with his Mercedes CLK 230.
I can't bear to trash the frame.
