Unless you ride in the early morning or late afternoon, the combination of high heat (108F heat index) and humidity make riding during the day here in south Louisiana a very hot-and thirsty proposition. I went through two water bottles in a little over 10 miles during my last ride and have since relegated myself to the wind trainer (in air conditioning) until it cools off a bit.
