A frame to consider...

I'm going to be building a touring bike on vintage parts (read as, scrounging), and figure part one of this needs to be the frame. Would that be correct?? As I'm not informed enough to worry about rim size and such so I figured I'd let the frame that fits me, tell me what it needs

A frame make that was suggested to me, Raleigh Aleyaska, Portage, and Kodiak. I tried to google some pics to get a feel for what these frames looked like and whether they would appeal to me, the name alone is calling to me (Lived in AK and desperately want to move back...) lol...

My problem is that I'm tall or at least have a long inseam to warrant a 21" frame on my Trek 7100. Will this be a problem with the above mentioned frames?...

Also what is the availability of these frames? If they are in the "Collector" market place as far as rarity then they are out of my $$ range. I'm not opposed to buying a quality "user" frame but I'm not interested in fighting collectors for an item Plus I'm not going to be restoring it to original specs, so a stripped frame would be fine or one that was parted out with a few hangers on. Who knows what one can find out there at times lol...

Any help on this would be greatly received
