That Fuji is an amazing looking bike. Personally, I would suggest that you go with the Fuji.
However, if going to $2k really isn't an option, then I would definitely get the CAAD9-5. This bike has what is considered the best aluminum frame on the market, and it is much better than cheaper carbon frames.
By any chance, have you looked at Felts? The F5 is around your price range, and it is an amazing bike for the price.
