For a commuter/city ride tire I like the Michelin City, although quite firm and little feedback on the tire but well to the right side of bullet proof. Another I just went to was he Panaracer RibMo tire in a 32c size. Probably on par with a 700x30C size, light with a nice profile and they really do stick where you put them. A lot more and better feedback than the Michelin City's. No flats yet and I don't go out of my way to avoid anything.
