BR-6600 toe-in adjustment

I'm just installing a new BR-6600 front caliper brake, and I'm definitely in need of some toeing-in.

The instruction sheet and the marketing blurbs talk about being able to adjust toe-in using the brakepad mounts, but they neglect to provide instructions how.

The one thing that seems clear upon trolling the repair sites/advice is that the old trick of adjusting toe-in by violently twisting the arm is no longer acceptable. How true is that really?

Thanks.
