I got the slick tires due to the fact that I had spent $100 on Kenda Small Block Eights recently. The rear tire was showing signs of wear already, so I figured I would get slicks. I also hope that my speed will increase somewhat with these new tires. I know that the diameter is smaller and therefore I will be turning more rpm's, but I am hoping that my current gearing will still be adequate.
