Wash your stuff in Sport Wash detergent, especially if its the funky moisture wicking stuff. It'll never give off a foul odor again, unless you go 3 or 4 days between washings.
I guess I must be pretty anal about it, but I wash my stuff after every time I wear it. Umpire uniform, cycling stuff, etc.
