Out of idle curiosity, I have been looking at Internet pictures of touring bike "cockpits" - items mounted on handlebars and how they are mounted (
not including shifters, brakes, brifters, barcons). I'm in the middle of (re-)designing my own setup and was wondering what people here have done.
My current list of items that I'm planning on mounting includes: dual mirrors, a gps, a cycle computer, at least 1 headlight (considering duals), handlebar bag. I'm considering adding a speaker for my mp3 player (I hate the idea of wearing earphones while riding).
Anyone have any items specifically for touring that I haven't listed/considered above?
Who uses handlebar extenders/extensions (ex., Minoura Space Grip) or something similar?
Who's done something unique or unusual?
