Mine was a used late 40's Schwinn and it weighed a ton (got it in the early 60's) My folks bought it from Goodwill and painted it gave it to me for christmas. Like Inkwolf I had a tough time with the brakes my mom could not figure out why I kept wearing out the soles of my shoes. Years later when I told her she nearly died laughing
