Sugino Crank Comparison??

Replacing the old SR triple crank on my '84 miyata 610.

One company offers a Sugino XD2 (46/36/24), and specifically touts "no ramps or pins." Another company offers a very similar-sounding Sugino XD2 600 (48/36/26) with "shifting aids", which I assume means ramps/pins.

Are these the same thing? If not, any experience out there with one or the other, and any preferences? If it matters, I will be running an old SunTour VGT Luxe rear derailleur (friction). Thanks!
