Thirdly, the reason it is said to be helpful, is because it helps you consume water "slightly" more efficiently. And if I recall correctly, he didn't have any water, only a gatorade.
But thanks for the enlightening article talking about a study that seems to be brought up every time anyone says something negative about alcohol, no as a non drinker I've never heard about it before...
