Sit on your bike like you are going to ride it.
The left side is under your left arm and is the non-drive side.
The right side is under your right arm and is the drive side.

The drive side gets its name from the chain and gears which drive the bike are on that side.

Take the pedals off first, then follow the instructions given above.
