Yep that's what the chap at Woodys said as well... I mentioned this to Connie, and she said,

"But that would make it heavier!"

My dearest best half has not only turned into a style police, but a weight weenie to boot!! She bought sunglasses with matching red color to the bike frame, and rejected a red Cateye speedo because the red is a different shade!!!

I might sneak the guards onto her bike so she can have a look.

I must say, I am giving that bike the utmost teatment:
* It got the EC70 carbon bar and matching seatpost from my Moulton,
* it got the uber-light front wheel that used to be on the Swift,
* I built her a new rear wheel with a very light Velocity Aerohead rim (which is now available in 406mm) and Capreo hub ("I need a higher top gear, dearie")
* I bought a truly light weight weenie crankset (405g according Weight Weenies!!)
