I don't drink too often- No time or money nowadays but

Spitfire Beer
Weak Belgian Lager at around 3%
Any Good grade of French Wine but favourite is "Fitou" closely followed by "Ventoux" or "Cote Du Rhone."
And a Cognac from a good Distillery but have found that it has to be 25 years old at least.

France is only a few hours away from home and when the £ to the Euro is right- we go on a "Booze Cruise" to stock the cellar. Only to a "Cellar" in Calais but the shop I go to there will sell me 100 bottles of quaffable wine and champagne at a price that is almost as cheap as bottled water over here. And in the Supermarkets- The English Spitfire beer is about half price.

And a word of warning- the local nickname for Stella is Wife Beater. Apparantly a well earned name.
