That's the 'full' 6 gap, there are shorter versions, too... I don't know if I'll be up to a full century with those kinds of climbs that soon!
The C&O towpath ride has always interested me, too- I might have to check that out some day. I find myself in the DC area every so often, I do an art exhibition in Bethesda almost every year. It's usually in November, though- Not exactly ideal riding weather up that way!
