Cleared for Full (well almost) Duty after Fusion

Minimally invasive L4-L5 Fusion and discectomy 13 days ago.

Saw the doc today, and I am cleared for any activity I find comfortable (except lifting more than 20 pounds).

Of course I will ease into things gently.

So, today I did some swimming after the appointment. I will do some more tomorrow. As soon as the winds get below 30 mph or so - and that is supposed to happen Thursday - I will be gently riding my bike again - likely start out on the mtn bike.

I start PT tomorrow. But, I think I am WAY ahead of the curve. He is going to call the PT lady and tell her that I should not be restricted in my activities.

He called me a "Rock star" and facetiuosly said he would like to give my phone number to some of the other younger surgery folks who needed a boost in their activities - he may have even called them "wussies." Not bad for someone 1 week away from 71yo.
