A slight squeeze of the frame should do the job. You may not even need to do this, just put the wheel in the dropout and tighten the bolts. Chainline should be good, depending on what length bb you use.
Ah yes...might be easier just to change the BB - I only have a basic shimano sealed BB in there at the moment which I can move into my spare bike. Good idea, the guy at the LBS mumbled something about the length of the BB which I didn't really get at the time, becasue I currently run an old dished wheel and the chainline is way out anyways.
