Drawbidge for bicycles

I rode the Tammany Trace today, Louisiana's rail to trail project. It includes a staffed drawbidge . At 5:30 it's raised up and remains there until morning, so you have to make sure your where you want to be by then.

I started in the middle of the 27 mile trail. I rode to one end and back to the middle. I had a choice of either going home or heading the other way and round tripping the trail for a new personal best of 54 miles.

I thought to myself, what would Sayre do.....er, uh I mean Mr Sayre. Of course I took the 54 mile option albeit significantly slower than my hero Mr Sayre.

Anyway I had a blast riding my bike today, hope you enjoy the picture.
