Could be just a matter of the other ones not being up-to-date on signatures of the badware. The free non-MS stuff works for some stuff, but probably not updated as frequently. That or there are even some "free malware cleaner" apps that are actually malware themselves; so be careful which free apps you use..
Questionable sites? You mean like BF?? Curiously the site that I was trying to search for was the weight weenie site and the stupid virus sent me elsewhere.
Porn & lyrics sites come to mind. It was more of a joke though.. =]
