You've mentioned that you're really struggling and have not bought a bike over $900. then that's the answer - get the 24 speed hyperfold. Alfine 11 gear will not gonna make your bike run faster than the 24 speed one. But it will drain your pocket real fast. You will not regret it if you did not get the 11 speed. What ever bike Friday you get it will really make you happy.
