My drops are angled slightly down, so I have a fairly significant upward slope on the top of the bar. I only ride the tops when I'm climbing and my body is erect so this gives an appropriate/comfortable hand position on the bar. It also keeps my shifters mounted high which I like for riding the hoods and with the drops angled down, riding the bar ends in the drops is very comfortable for me. I double rap bar ends and hoods to make the bars wider/more comfortable for endurance riding.
