Okay.. a bit of personal perspective. I have "wintered over" in McMurdo-Antarctica, spent two winters in Alaska, 4 in Maine and worked a winter on Mount Washington (the windiest palce in the US). But all of those were at least a dozen years ago.
The difference between what WAS cold and what IS cold now has to be age-related, it seems to me.
Then again, I still have my looks --- the mirror borrows them often but I always get them back.
